Everyone’s hurt for the Giants. Everyone’s on fire for the Rams. This is the case as we see one of the largest NFL spreads of the week in North Jersey. The Giants lost Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones last week, and neither seem to be trending towards playing.

Meanwhile the Rams bounced back from a loss to Arizona by getting the better of the Seahawks in prime time. Matthew Stafford looks sharp once again, and even Robert Woods got in on the action. The Giants saw the emergence of Kadarius Toney – but even he was a little banged up with an ankle injury. Everything is trending in the wrong direction for a Giants team hosting a red-hot Rams squad.

Seeing a line this large at sportsbooks should give you initial pause, especially because it’s the home dog getting over 10 points. The Giants – when healthy – have been a sneaky cover this year, but that just isn’t the case this week. Anyone involved in NFL betting should be heavily factoring in the injuries to the Giants. There’s value with props but it’s too risky to put money on Mike Glennon.

The Rams are a heavy 10.5-point road favorite at MetLife Stadium. LA is -575 on the ML versus the Giants being a huge +425 home dog. The total for this game is 47.5 points.

Rams vs Giants Key Matchups

Mike Glennon vs. The Rams: All the usual players from Aaron Donald to Jalen Ramsey will be out on the field for the Rams. Life is already difficult for a backup-turned-starter; it will be miserable for Glennon.

Giants Front vs. Rams RBs: Looking for an exploitable weakness is key with all of your NFL picks and in this game we have the Rams at 23rd in the NFL in running the ball. The Giants can take that away on defense.

Health vs. Injury: The Giants are likely to be without their top QB, RB and WR in Kenny Golladay. While Darius Slayton is on point to return, the team is still dealing with backups and suspect talent – specifically on the OL.

Rams vs Giants Key Stats

197: Daniel Jones' team-leading rushing stat through five games. Without Jones, the Giants offense is left with few creative options. They also don’t have a guy to bail out poor OL play.

195: Saquon Barkley’s rushing total through five games. The point is many people may think he wasn’t doing enough anyways, but there is a significant drop in talent from Barkley to Devontae Booker.

10: Kadarius Toney’s receptions in his lone start – last week – this season. As bright of a star as he can be, the Rams will make sure to eclipse Toney’s shine all afternoon.

23rd: This is the overall ranking for the Rams on defense. It may be loaded with some top-end individual talent, and they play in a super-competitive division, but teams can score on the Rams.

1: Matthew Stafford hasn’t been sacked more than one time in any game this year. He’s been sacked four times total, but never over that prime number 1.

Rams vs Giants Player Props

Darrell Henderson, Over 76.5 Rushing Yards

Odds:

It’s a large number for Henderson to cover but works if the Rams have a healthy lead. It also helps if the Rams are still asleep from their flight, as LA won’t abandon the run.

Tyler Higbee, Over 3.5 Receptions

Odds:

Higbee is up to 6 red zone targets this year, grabbing a score in their win over the Seahawks. Four receptions seems easy for Stafford’s top TE target.

Van Jefferson, Over 18.5 Yards Longest Reception

Odds:

This is simple; if Jefferson is going to catch a pass, there’s a high probability it will be over 19 yards. Take this before it moves up any higher.

Rams vs Giants Moneyline

The Giants upsetting the Rams – with a bunch of backups – would pay off exponentially, especially if you played heavy money on it. The reality is the Rams are just clicking on offense and taking on a Giants team that’s reduced to backups in key spots.

The Rams are a parlay-only option for me, but also a good teaser with the line. Not worth a heavy bet to win $100 but also too much of a risk to bet on Glennon.

Rams vs Giants Spread

How you play this line can be a major difference maker at betting sites and it just requires some basic creativity. There’s a letdown factor for the Rams, and a “lack of respect” factor taking on the Giants.

It’s a rather large spread, so tease this down (6/7 points) and rely on the Rams doing just enough to win. We see this a lot with teams who are so far apart in talent, especially when the dog is hosting the game. The Giants won’t hang around forever, but the Rams may look like they are sleepwalking through the first half. Tease down the spread and make this Rams -3.5.

Rams vs Giants Total

The Rams are going to score points, six of their last seven games have gone over the total. It’s just a matter of how interested they seem. The Giants’ defense is good enough to take away a lot of the Rams running game, but still must deal with Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

This won’t be easy for Mike Glennon and Booker but expect some points from the Giants. That’s all we need to go Over 47.5 points.
